OFFICIAL MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL
The Board of Control met in
special session on January 24, 2008, via teleconference call, with members
present as follows.
District I -- Terry Kenealy,

District II -- Dr. Bob Reznicek,
District III -- Jay Bellar,
District IV -- Max Kroger, Ord
District V -- Dr. Dallas
Watkins, Dundy County-Stratton
District VI -- Kent Halley,
Mitchell
Dr. Jim Tenopir, Executive Director; Debra Velder, Associate Director; Rex
Schultze, NSAA Legal Counsel; Larry Munksgaard, Lincoln Southeast High School Athletic
Director; and parents Dave and Lisa Kastanek were also in attendance.
Chairman Dallas Watkins called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m.

It was moved by Kent Halley, seconded by Jay Bellar, to enter executive
session at 10:25 a.m. to discuss evidence regarding verification of a bona fide
domicile change. Motion Carried,
6-0. It was moved by Terry Kenealy,
seconded by Kent Halley, to exit executive session at 10:45 a.m. Motion Carried, 6-0.
It was moved by Terry Kenealy, seconded by Max Kroger, to approve a
finding of fact and determination that Marissa Kastanek’s legal parent had met
the criteria of Bylaw 2.6.1.1 and that a bona fide domicile change had
occurred, rendering the student immediately eligible for varsity competition. Motion
Carried, 6-0.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 11:10 a.m.
