Summary: | Participation in interscholastic play production by any high school student is limited to three contests per calendar week, Monday through Saturday. There shall be no interscholastic play production competition on Sunday. This proposal will only increase costs to the schools if schools choose to participate in 3 contests per week.
Rationale: | Play production's season is shorter than most seasons. Allowing schools to compete in three contests per week gives students and directors more feedback before districts and state competitions.
Pros: | Allowing three competitions instead of two per week provides students and directors with more feedback before entering the NSAA districts and state series.
Cons: | Allowing 3 competitions per week would increase the cost to the programs that chose to compete an additional day. |
