The results of only those matches played against varsity teams IN CLASS A AND A PRESCRIBED SET OF NON-CLASS A SCHOOLS in Nebraska and of schools in states contigous to Nebraska will be used to: 1. Calculate Point Averages 2. To determine the win and loss record for designating a team as a first, second, third or fourth division team.
All matches played by a school's varsity team regardless of the location of the opposing school will count toward the number of permitted contests in a particular sport.

Rationale for the proposed change: This proposed change to the Wild Card Points system (except Football)will give balance to all Class A teams as it promotes playing teams with-in your own class. By season’s end, the wildcard ratings will have a better reflection of where a team stands in the system based on playing teams with-in your own class. |
