The section/paragraph/sentence indicates what is to be added/deleted/changed to the current Bylaw/Approved Ruling:
ADDITIONS are in all capital letters. (Changes/Deletions are in parentheses.)

Wild Card Criteria:

The results of only those matches played against varsity teams IN CLASS A AND A PRESCRIBED SET OF NON-CLASS A SCHOOLS in Nebraska and of schools in states contigous to Nebraska will be used to:
1. Calculate Point Averages
2. To determine the win and loss record for designating a team as a first, second, third or fourth division team.

All matches played by a school's varsity team regardless of the location of the opposing school will count toward the number of permitted contests in a particular sport.

Cost Analysis of Proposal:
None
Rationale for the proposed change:
This proposed change to the Wild Card Points system (except Football)will give balance to all Class A teams as it promotes playing teams with-in your own class. By season’s end, the wildcard ratings will have a better reflection of where a team stands in the system based on playing teams with-in your own class.
