The section/paragraph/sentence that needs to be added/deleted/changed would read as follows: Up to 12 Cheerleaders, 12 Drill Team Members, and 50 Band Members per school would be admitted free of charge to district and state competition. |
Cost Analysis of Proposal: Loss of revenue to district hosts and NSAA. Savings to member schools activities budgets. |
Rationale for the proposed change: Cheerleaders, drill team, and band members are an integral part of our athletic events. They contribute to the overall atmosphere at a contest and help promote positive sportsmanship. Our activities are for our students and excluding or limiting these groups based upon costs of admission does not support our mission. Requiring them to pay admission is a hardship on school districts funds, athletic department funds, students, or parents. |
